The house

A house with nearly
a hundred years of history

Spread over two floors, the house reflects its age and character, and each room has a slightly different layout. The atmosphere is relaxed and home-like, with shared common areas where you can unwind after a day of exploring and a small kitchenette where you can prepare a simple meal. Please note that the upper floor is reached by stairs only.

We have eight rooms, offered in three different room types. As you would expect in an older house, sizes and layouts vary from room to room, which we think is part of its charm. Every room has a private bathroom, parquet floors and its own Nespresso machine with complimentary coffee. Sizes below are given excluding the private bathroom.

Our Economy Room is a compact 9 m² space, ideal for solo travellers or couples who like to snuggle up close. Its small and practical layout makes it particularly well suited for a one-night stop in Höfn while travelling the Ring Road.

The 140 cm-wide double bed is positioned against the wall to make the best use of the available space. There is some room for luggage, although floor and storage space are limited, making this room best suited for shorter stays or guests travelling light.

  • Plenty of parking, easy to find, and just around the corner from the supermarket. There’s a well-equipped kitchen for everyone’s use, including a good self-service coffee machine. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and we even saw the Northern Lights from the window!
